About the Scores
Every drive in our catalog meets a minimum performance bar; drives below it aren't listed. The score answers one question: how much of its interface's potential does this drive actually deliver? It's based on published read and write speeds, whether smaller capacities keep the same write speed, and whether the drive has a DRAM cache, each measured against the best drive on the same interface. Because scores are relative to the interface, a Gen3 drive and a Gen5 drive can both score near 10 even though the Gen5 drive is much faster. To compare like with like, filter by interface class.
